Job summary

Yavapai College is seeking a part-time Radiology Lab Assistant in Prescott Valley, AZ. You will support faculty and students in radiology labs, ensuring proper positioning and safe, well-organized lab operations.

The role requires ARRT in good standing, AZDHS CRT license, and an Associate degree. You will assist with assessments, inventory, and lab setup, contributing to student success in a dynamic teaching environment.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the Radiology Faculty and/or Staff, this position is the skilled lab assistant for the various radiology classes.
• Assisting students with labs and other work as necessary.
• Works closely with students to assure that they practice positioning skills using proper procedures and techniques.
• Performs skills assessments and communicates findings to the instructor.
• Responsible for the set-up and take-down of the lab environment.
• Assures that the lab is safe, clean and organized.
• Assists with inventory management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Must be in good standing with the ARRT and hold a current AZDHS CRT License.
• Associate degree in related field.
• Must meet requirements established by regulatory and accrediting agencies.
• Skill in gathering, compiling and presenting information in oral and/or written form.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills as applied to interaction with staff, community leaders, faculty, students, and the public.
• Skill working in a diverse multi-ethnic, multi-cultural population.
• Ability to work independently and as a member of a team in accomplishing tasks.
• Ability to analyze situations, develop solutions, and make independent decisions based on established guidelines.

Experience

• Experience training, evaluating, mentoring, and advising students.
• One (1) year of industry experience.
• Regular attendance as scheduled is essential to the performance of job duties.

Physical Demands

• Ability to lift and move equipment up to 80 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
• Frequent use of hands for handling, reaching, and operating simulation equipment.
• Occasional standing and walking.
• Vision requirements include close vision for detailed work.

• Quiet to moderate noise levels in the work environment.

Contract

This part-time position has flexible scheduling, including days, nights, and weekends, up to 19.5 hours per week.
