Job summary

Halliburton in Odessa, TX is seeking a Lab Technician to perform routine tests under the chemical hygiene plan and safety standards. Under direct supervision, you will handle procedures, set up equipment, and collect data to support cementing operations.

You will operate pumps and rig equipment, document results, and maintain organized files. Candidates should have a high school diploma and 2 years of related laboratory testing experience; additional chemistry coursework is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Skills typically through eight (8) hours of college chemistry (preferred) and 2 years of related laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine laboratory tests according to procedures.
• May build prototypes, models, and special equipment and/or perform basic material or environmental tests using basic techniques with electrical/electronic, chemical, and mechanical equipment that includes set-up, calibration, trouble- shooting, monitoring, and data collection.
• Operates laboratory or other equipment such as pumps and rig equipment, as required to execute assigned tasks.
• Documents test data for reporting purposes.
• Maintains files and documentation related to test equipment and test results of equipment.
