Eaton’s ES AMER PCS division is seeking a Lab Technician II to support the power lab in Beaver, PA. The role involves conducting mechanical and electrical testing on Eaton and non-Eaton equipment for internal and external customers, with relocation assistance available.

This is a day shift onsite position and carries an annual salary range of $56,000 to $83,000. The successful candidate will perform calibration, test setups, data recording, and lab maintenance while adhering to EHS and 5S

Qualifications

• Education: Associate's Degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year in a technical lab or testing environment.
• Knowledge: Electronic, mechanical, electro-mechanical and software aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Conduct various electrical tests per UL, CSA, IEC and NEMA standards.
• Record test data on standardized forms for project engineers.
• Repair/replace test fixtures and maintain an active fixtures list.
• Maintain a 5S organized lab environment and safety requirements.
• Support development and calibration of test setups.
• Handle dielectric/thermal testing, circuit configurations, and vibration tests.
• Balance multiple projects to ensure on-time results.

The incumbent will be responsible for performing testing on various Eaton and non-Eaton equipment in a lab setting for internal and external customers. This is a day shift onsite role.The expected annual salary range for this role is $56000 - $83000 a year, and is overtime eligible.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:The primary purpose of this position is to conduct mechanical and electrical testing to meet the demands of Eaton's engineering departments to achieve product development, sustainment, and certification goals. This position will perform functions necessary to support product development and maintenance of line activities which include assembly of products and test setups. Additional requirements will be to help maintain lab test equipment, track test request status, and samples. This position will need to support all EHS requirements and 5S initiatives.Job responsibilitiesA. Conduct various electrical tests in accordance with UL, CSA, IEC and NEMA standards for electrical distribution products, as required, to meet the product development and sustaining testing demands. Maintain knowledge of applicable IEC, UL, and NEMA testing standards.B. Record accurate test data on standardized forms for delivery to the project engineer.C. Assist in the repair and replacement of test fixtures and maintain an active list of test fixtures on hand to meet the demands of the engineering department.D. Contribute to organizing and maintaining lab 5S environment to meet goals and to ensure maximum efficiency.E. Assist in the development and enforcement of safety requirements.F. Ability to work on multiple projects at one time to increase the efficiency in the lab and provide engineering on time test results.G. Share knowledge with other technicians as necessary to improve technician pool’s core knowledge and capabilities.H. Complete additional assignments or tasks requested by manager.I. Conduct pre and post calibrations, run dielectric/thermal testing.J.
