Actalent, Inc. in Boca Raton, FL, seeks a Manufacturing Technician I, Fractionation - Night Shift, for entry-level work under supervision. You will clean and sanitize equipment, prepare buffer solutions, and assist with plasma processing in a 24/7 facility with 12-hour night shifts.

The position requires physical work, lifting up to 50 lbs, and adherence to cGMP and SOPs. Training is provided; contract-to-hire opportunities exist for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; Associate degree preferred.
• Experience in a large-scale cGMP manufacturing environment is a plus.
• Willingness to work 12-hour night shifts in a 24/7 facility with safety procedures.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical tasks.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize equipment and manufacturing areas
• Operate COP washer, plasma bottle cutter, and pooling tank lift
• Set up and harvest centrifuges
• Monitor centrifuge flows and temperatures
• Prepare buffer solutions
• Maintain stock of gowning supplies
• Make connections on flow panels for product transfers
• Follow manufacturing SOPs and Batch Records
• Perform additional tasks for advancement to Tech II position

Essential Skills

• Minimum High School diploma or Associate degree or equivalent experience preferred
• Experience in a large scale manufacturing cGMP regulated environment working with Standard Operating Procedures and cGMP documentation practices is a plus
• Preference for candidates with plasma fractionation or purification experience
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Ability to work independently and on a team to achieve established goals
• Experience with cleaning tools and chemicals preferred but not required
• Reliable and ability to work flexible hours if needed
• Ability to use PPE (Personal Protective Equipment)
• Ability to work in a controlled cleanroom environment

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing
• Familiarity with GMP, SOP, and batch records
• Knowledge of wet chemistry and plasma separation
• Ability to perform heavy lifting, general production, and general labor tasks

Work Environment

Warehouse/Manufacturing environment. FDA and GMP regulated environment. Shift involves 4x 12-hour shifts from 7 pm to 7 am. The facility operates 24/7/365. Physical demands include sitting at a desk 10-15% of the time operating a computer, standing, kneeling, climbing, lifting, pulling, and carrying materials weighing up to 75 pounds. Occasional afterhours and weekend work may be required, with potential hazards including airborne particles, caustics, chemicals, fumes, human source products, and odors. The environment can be stressful depending on delivery frequencies, volume of work, and occasional emergency shipments, deliveries, and receipts.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of BOCA RATON, FL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $22.00/hr.
