Springhill Medical Center in Mobile, AL is hiring a Lab Technician II for the 12:30pm–9:00pm shift, Monday through Friday. This full-time, on-site role focuses on specimen receipt, processing, and distribution to support accurate laboratory testing.

The ideal candidate has at least one year of phlebotomy experience and familiarity with laboratory safety, specimen handling, and laboratory information systems.

Qualifications

• At least one year of phlebotomy experience is required.
• Previous laboratory, specimen processing, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Knowledge of laboratory safety practices and specimen handling procedures preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency and laboratory information systems experience preferred.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

The Lab Tech II – Specimen Processing is responsible for the accurate receipt, identification, processing, and distribution of patient specimens to support timely and accurate laboratory testing. This position ensures specimens are handled according to established laboratory procedures while maintaining quality, safety, and regulatory standards. The Lab Tech II works collaboratively with laboratory staff, physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care.
