Job summary

Chase Corporation is seeking an R&D Lab Technician in Westwood, MA to support scientists, engineers, and managers in the preparation, testing, and evaluation of coating formulations and chemical intermediates. Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment (chemical industry preferred)
• Hands-on experience with laboratory equipment and measurement instruments, including preparation of formulations and execution of standard lab tests
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow procedures, manage multiple priorities, and deliver accurate, timely results in a fast-paced environment
• Organized, dependable, and accountable, with effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office or similar systems

Responsibilities

• Laboratory Execution & Testing: Prepare coating formulations and chemical intermediates to defined specifications
• Laboratory Execution & Testing: Perform standard laboratory tests and operate lab equipment
• Laboratory Execution & Testing: Accurately document results in lab notebooks, job sheets, and internal systems
• Laboratory Execution & Testing: Maintain lab records in accordance with internal procedures and customer requirements
• Technical Support & Problem Solving: Troubleshoot nonconforming materials and test results
• Technical Support & Problem Solving: Provide technical support to internal stakeholders as needed
• Technical Support & Problem Solving: Assist in developing and refining processing conditions
• Lab Operations & Safety: Support maintenance and safe operation of laboratory equipment and apparatus
• Lab Operations & Safety: Follow all written and verbal procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards
