Job summary

ECS Limited's Daytona team is offering a unique entry-level opportunity for a Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Concrete Laboratory Technician. No experience is required, as you will learn under guidance of experienced professionals while performing basic tests on concrete and construction material samples.

You will receive paid training and certification support as you grow, with opportunities to take on more responsibilities and fieldwork.

Qualifications

• 0 years of related experience required.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Certifications applicable to lab work must be obtained per policy.
• Ability to operate basic lab equipment and input data accurately.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic laboratory tests on concrete and construction material samples under supervision.
• Assists with sample preparation and testing procedures.
• Compiles test results, data input, processing and administrative tasks.
• Handles concrete lab tasks such as stripping, labeling, curing setup, and temperature monitoring.
• Maintains a clean, organized laboratory environment and supports equipment calibration.
• Maintains calibration records per QA/QC and accreditation requirements.
• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment and supports occasional fieldwork.

ECS Limited is offering a unique opportunity for a talented Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Concrete Laboratory Technician to join our Daytona team. We offer opportunities for growth in this role with additional incentives as you earn your certifications. No prior experience is needed, as you'll work under the guidance of experienced professionals to learn to safely perform a variety of tasks in our concrete laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Performs basic laboratory tests on concrete and construction material samples under supervision


• Assists with sample preparation and testing procedures


• Compiles test results, data input, data processing, and other administrative duties


• Performs concrete laboratory testing including but not limited to, with some supervision:
  
  
  
  • Stripping and labeling samples
  
  
  • Setting samples for curing
  
  
  • Monitoring daily temperature logs
  
  
  • Breaking of samples
  
  
  
  


• Assists in maintaining a clean and organized laboratory environment


• Supports calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment


• Maintains calibration records and documentation in accordance with QA/QC and accreditation requirements


• Notifies supervisors of damaged or missing equipment


• Assists with additional laboratory functions and occasional fieldwork as needed

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

• Obtain lab certifications applicable to the lab work performed as per the ECS Technician Certification Policy
