We are looking for a detail-oriented and technically skilled Lab Technician to support laboratory testing, sample preparation, analytical instrument operation, and quality control activities. The ideal candidate will have experience working with analytical laboratory equipment, maintaining accurate laboratory records, following established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and ensuring compliance with applicable quality standards and regulatory requirements.
The role involves performing routine and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products; supporting instrument calibration and maintenance; assisting with laboratory investigations; and maintaining accurate, audit-ready documentation. The candidate should demonstrate strong analytical skills, attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to laboratory safety and data integrity.
What you'll do
- Perform routine and analytical testing of raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products using appropriate laboratory techniques and equipment.
- Prepare samples, standards, and reagents for laboratory analysis, following established procedures.
- Operate analytical instruments such as High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Gas Chromatography (GC), UV-Visible spectrophotometers, FTIR, pH meters, and dissolution testing equipment, as applicable.
- Conduct routine instrument calibration, performance checks, maintenance, and basic troubleshooting to ensure reliable analytical results.
- Assist with analytical method verification, validation, and optimization activities in accordance with approved protocols.
- Support stability studies by testing samples under specified storage conditions and documenting analytical results.
- Review, interpret, and record laboratory data accurately, ensuring completeness, traceability, and data integrity.
- Maintain laboratory documentation, including test records, laboratory notebooks, calibration logs, SOPs, validation documents, and test reports.
- Follow applicable Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), and established laboratory quality procedures.
- Assist in investigating out-of-specification (OOS) and out-of-trend (OOT) results, deviations, and other laboratory discrepancies.
- Support root cause analysis and corrective and preventive action (CAPA) activities as required.
- Maintain laboratory equipment, workspaces, and testing materials in an organized and compliant condition.
- Coordinate with Quality Assurance (QA), production, research and development (R&D), and other relevant teams to resolve testing issues and support quality objectives.
- Assist in preparing laboratory records and supporting documentation for internal audits and regulatory inspections.
- Identify opportunities to improve laboratory workflows, testing efficiency, and sample turnaround time.
