Job summary

Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, MA is seeking a Research Assistant to conduct routine experiments in molecular, cell biology or biochemistry under supervision.

You will record results, analyze data with basic statistics, perform literature searches, and participate in safety trainings and conferences to expand knowledge.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Life Sciences or related field.

• Experience with computer systems including MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access).

Responsibilities

• Conducts routine tests following established procedures, including assays, DNA sequencing, tissue culture, protein purification, Southern blotting, PCR analysis, electrophoresis, chromatography.
• Monitors and records data, summarizes results using basic statistics and prepares descriptive outputs.
• Performs literature searches and library investigations related to the research.
• Attends safety trainings, lectures, and conferences to further knowledge in research.
• May demonstrate routine lab tasks to students and other personnel.
