Decatur County Hospital is seeking a Lab Tech for the Weekday Nights shift. The role involves performing a variety of lab tests and phlebotomy across patient ages, with a requirement for adaptability to a team environment.

Lab Tech – Weekday Nights (MLT, MT, Or MLS Preferred)
Position: Phlebotomist, Cert. Lab Asst. MLT or MT
Day/Hours: Full-time (Nights, 7:00p-5:30A Monday – Thursday)
Summary: Perform a variety of lab tests and must be proficient in all areas as deemed appropriate by scope of practice. Perform phlebotomy on all ages of patients. Must be flexible to change and have the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Certified to do blood bank or ability to obtain preferred.
Minimum Qualifications
Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technician program or a degree from an MLT, MT, or MLS program preferred; or 60 credit hours from an accredited institution that at minimum includes 6 credit hours of chemistry, 6 credit hours of biology, and 12 additional credit hours of chemistry, biology, or medical laboratory technology in any combination.
