Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Float Position candidate who must be able to travel across multiple locations including Marble Falls and Cedar Park. This full-time role offers day shifts from Monday to Friday, with various schedules between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

The ideal candidate will conduct laboratory procedures, manage patient specimens, and communicate with personnel effectively. Immediate eligibility for health and welfare benefits, including a 401(k) matching plan, tuition reimbursement, and PTO accrual from Day 1, are included in the offer.

Job Summary

Float Position: Must be able to travel.

Location: Hill Country Clinic Float (including but not limited to, Marble Falls, Llano, San Saba, Leander, Cedar Park, Lago Vista, Johnson City, Kingsland).

Status: Full time.

Shift: Day shift, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 7:00 AM-4:00 PM.

Responsibilities

• Conduct routine laboratory procedures where the range of possible errors is limited.
• Sort, label and record patient specimens; set up specimen, material and equipment in preparation for a Medical Technologist to perform tests.
• Operate centrifuge, simplex timers, cell washer and other laboratory equipment in completing assigned duties.
• Maintain appropriate inventory of supplies.
• Maintain effective communication and working relationships with all laboratory personnel, other disciplines, and external customers.
• Participate in laboratory projects and educational activities.
