Job summary

Mercy Laboratory is seeking an Laboratory Support Technician (LST III) to join the provider care team. You will support reports, data management and scheduling within the laboratory, while ensuring excellent customer service and HIPAA confidentiality in all interactions.

The role includes collecting specimens for testing, processing, transporting and referring specimens and reports, and assisting technologists with various test methods.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• One year phlebotomy or clinical laboratory experience. Previous Mercy LST II designation or equivalent experience.
• College level chemistry or Biology coursework preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens for laboratory testing using safe, accurate, and professional methods.
• Process, transport and refer laboratory specimens and reports as required.
• Perform limited laboratory testing and assist technologists in applicable test methods.
