Job summary

PerkinElmer is seeking a Lab Support Specialist to provide coordinated lab services and act as a single point of contact for research groups at customer sites in MA. You will collaborate with multiple teams to ensure smooth lab operations and safety compliance.

The role emphasizes cross-training, documentation, and ongoing communication with stakeholders to resolve issues and support a productive laboratory environment.

Qualifications

• Associates degree with 1+ years' experience in a customer facing role within a scientific environment.
• High School Diploma with 2+ years' experience in a customer facing role within a scientific environment.
• Experience with GLP/GxP and compliance environments is preferred.
• Experience with 5S (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) principles.

Responsibilities

• Serve as point of contact for customer lab staff, coordinating lab needs and activities.
• Work closely with other teams to deliver lab support services.
• Escort third-party vendors to customer lab staff for maintenance/repairs visits.
• Meet regularly with stakeholders to identify, resolve issues in a timely manner.
• Engage with the customer and PerkinElmer staff to ensure quality and compliance in the lab.
• Collaborate with safety reps to maintain a high level of safety in the lab.
• Provide updates on service work requests to lab users.
• Provide induction/orientation for new customer staff and visitors.
• Cross-train and provide back-up to other lab support areas.
• Complete paperwork per Good Documentation Practice.
• SME on various support needs across buildings/locations.
• Participate in committees supporting LSC's across PerkinElmer and customer sites.
