Position to provide comprehensive support services for the Mechanical Engineering Department at California Polytechnic State University (Cal Poly).
Under general supervision of the department chair, the incumbent performs comprehensive support services for the Mechanical Engineering Department, making extensive use of general and unique materials, supplies, and scientific equipment in both upper and lower division laboratories and instructional centers. The role operates and performs routine maintenance of laboratory equipment, procures materials, informs and educates students and faculty on CSU and campus policies, including safety, and promotes a culture of safety and collaboration.
The Mechanical Engineering Department is a major academic department within the College of Engineering, offering Bachelor of Science and Master of Science degrees and a variety of service courses in related engineering disciplines. The program includes 11 intensive laboratories covering topics such as controls, vibrations, fluid mechanics, and thermal systems.
Anticipated Hiring Range: $62,100–$78,756 per year.
Classification Range: $55,140–$80,328 per year.
