Job summary

Evolution Research Group (ERG) seeks a Lab Supervisor to lead the new CLIA/GLP safety laboratory in Columbus, OH. You will help build, launch, and operate the facility, oversee staff, and ensure CLIA, GLP, GCP, IRB, SOP, OSHA compliance.

You will coordinate testing menus, data transfer, and sponsor reporting in a fast‑paced early‑phase environment. The role requires a BS degree and at least one year in an early‑phase clinical research lab with leadership skills and knowledge of regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required.
• Minimum of one year of experience in an early‑phase clinical research laboratory.
• State of Florida Supervisor License in all areas of testing performed, or ability to obtain.
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, GLP, GCP and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent organizational, analytical and problem‑solving abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with build‑out, start‑up and day‑to‑day operation of a CLIA‑certified laboratory.
• Direct and coordinate laboratory personnel to ensure quality and timely testing.
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, GLP, GCP, IRB, SOPs and OSHA.
• Support accreditation readiness, including inspections and audits.
• Oversee quality control, QA and proficiency testing programs.
• Manage laboratory testing menus and coordination with reference labs.
• Serve as backup contact for sponsors and internal teams; participate in study meetings.
• Coordinate sample processing, storage and shipment per protocol and sponsor requirements.
• Oversee supply management and equipment maintenance.
• Ensure timely electronic data transfers and reporting to sponsors.
• Maintain a safe, organized and inspection‑ready lab environment.
