Are you an experienced clinical laboratory professional seeking a leadership opportunity? Are you detail-oriented, process-focused, and enjoy leading teams? LabCorp is looking for a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor in Tampa, FL, overseeing 20-25 staff in the Chemistry department. Responsibilities include scheduling, training, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining quality standards.

This role offers a $15,000 sign-on bonus for external candidates. The work schedule is Tuesday to Saturday, 3:30 AM - 11:00 AM (3rd shift).

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise daily operations of the Chemistry department, including urinalysis, blood bank, and serology.
• Ensure timely and accurate laboratory testing and reporting.
• Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff.
• Monitor workflow, staff shifts, and assay coverage.
• Manage equipment maintenance and quality assurance records.
• Implement process improvements and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Conduct staff coaching, perform bench work, and handle administrative duties.

Requirements

• Associates degree or higher in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology, meeting local CLIA & state requirements.
• Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Technologist/Technician.
• Previous supervisory experience preferred.
• Florida Chemistry Supervisor license.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and state regulations.
• Proficiency with Laboratory Information Systems and MS Office.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and decision-making skills.
