Northwestern Medicine Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield, IL is seeking a Lab Specimen Processor for a full-time, first-shift role. You will receive, process, label and distribute specimens, and perform non-high complexity testing, with familiarity of HIS/LIS systems and customer service duties.

The salary range for this position is $19.20 - $26.88 (Hourly Rate)

Placement within the salary range is dependent on several factors such as relevant work experience and internal equity. For positions represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range is guided by the rules outlined in the collective bargaining agreement.

Description

This is a full-time, 40 hours per week, first shift position located at Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield.

The Lab Specimen Processor reflects the mission, vision, and values of NM, adheres to the organization's Code of Ethics and Corporate Compliance Program, and complies with all relevant policies, procedures, guidelines and all other regulatory and accreditation standards.

The specimen processor is responsible and accountable for receiving, processing, labeling, distributing specimens, and performing non-high complexity testing as required. The position requires a thorough understanding of laboratory specimens as well as the HIS/LIS computer systems. The Processor will be required to perform customer service duties and other clerical duties as the job dictates.
