Job summary

Qualifications

• Basic lab skills (pipetting, reagent preparation, documentation) and chemistry or biochemistry coursework are helpful; mass spectrometry or immunoassay experience is a plus.
• A few projects are better suited to graduate students.
• Demonstrated leadership in areas such as campus activities, clubs, sports, current or previous work, or within the community preferred
• Must be enrolled in, or accepted to, an academic program pursuing an Undergraduate or Graduate degree (and be returning to school the semester following the position or graduating after the position)

Responsibilities

• Support the labs that measure drug candidates and biomarkers in samples from preclinical and clinical studies, some of it under strict regulatory (GLP) standards.
• Projects may include developing and running assays such as ligand-binding assays and LC-MS/MS, supporting proteomics and structural biology research, characterizing the structure of complex drug types with advanced mass spectrometry, and running formulation and stability studies to find the best conditions to keep a medicine stable.
• Most projects are hands‑on lab work combined with data analysis, careful documentation, and writing up results.
