Job summary

The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine is seeking a Research Assistant I – Animal Model Research to support projects in laboratory environments. You will provide lab and technical support while assisting in the development of medical countermeasures in a rodent model of Acute Radiation Syndrome.

This role involves conducting laboratory research, performing molecular assays, and assisting with animal studies. A Bachelor's Degree and 0–2 years of experience are required, with compensation in the range of $19.33 – $24.00 per hour based on qualifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 0–2 years experience required.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a T1/Public Trust background check.
• Requires lifting materials over 25 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory research projects, including collection and organization of data.
• Perform various molecular assays (ELISA, RT-PCR, and Western blot).
• Assist with animal studies and provide basic data analysis.
• Prepare technical reports and maintain accurate data collection records.
