Job summary

Chatham University is seeking a on-campus student assistant to help prepare reagents and materials for the research lab, clean and sterilize glassware and plastic ware, and manage plate waste through autoclaving. This role requires current enrollment as a student and adherence to campus work-hour limits.

Responsibilities also include identifying low stock levels and re-ordering regularly used materials to support ongoing research activities, while contributing to a diverse and inclusive campus

Prepare reagents and materials for research lab, clean and sterile glassware and plastic ware, autoclave plate waste, identify low stocks of regularly used materials for re-order.


All current student employees should notify their other manager(s) if you work multiple jobs on campus at the same time. Additionally, students may not work more than 20 hours per week (combined between all campus jobs) during the academic year. Students may not exceed 980 work hours per calendar year.


Student jobs do not automatically roll over to the next academic year or summer.
