Job summary

MLK Community Healthcare in Los Angeles is seeking a Clinical Lab Quality Manager to coordinate personnel, instrumentation, and supplies used for clinical laboratory and pathology services. Qualifications

• Minimum four (4) years experience as a Clinical Laboratory Scientist (CLS).
• Includes at least two (2) years of clinical leadership experience.
• Current California CLS license required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance with CLIA, CAP, CDPH, TJC, OSHA, AABB, and California Lab Licensing standards.
• Direct supervision of phlebotomy, microbiology, and pathology staff.
• Maintain all hospital laboratory licenses and outpatient licensure.
• Manage department finances to meet budgeted goals and productivity targets.
• Coordinate departmental purchases and vendor proposals for instruments and supplies.
• Develop and implement department plans in support of hospital strategic goals.
• Prepare and maintain readiness for licensure and accrediting agencies (TJC, CAP, CDPH).
