Job summary

ALS is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead and enhance the laboratory's quality management system in a dynamic, data-driven environment. You will direct the lab's quality programs, ensure regulatory compliance, and oversee audits, training records, and vendor management.

The role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, and the ability to work independently while collaborating with internal and external stakeholders. Travel may be required as part of audits and inspections.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline (chemistry, microbiology, or biology preferred).
• 7+ years in a commercial laboratory.
• 5+ years in a quality function (ISO 17025, TNI or similar).
• 2+ years of leadership or management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct management and improvement of laboratory quality systems.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ALS standards.
• Plan and oversee annual internal audit schedule.
• Oversee maintenance of accreditation status for applicable programs.
• Maintain site document control and Quality Manual.
• Oversee proficiency testing and resolve failures.
• Coordinate external audits and assessments as required.
• Maintain retrievable records of training, assessments and audits.
• Manage nonconformances, corrective actions and client complaints.
• Develop and maintain the approved vendor list.
• Manage site quality personnel and evaluation processes.
