UCHealth provides an onsite laboratory technician role at PVH Send Outs in Fort Collins, Colorado. The position is PRN with a flex shift and hourly pay between $19.67 and $25.57, depending on experience. Responsibilities include specimen handling, result communication to providers, and clerical duties such as data entry and invoicing.

A high school diploma and healthcare exposure are preferred. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and the ability to work without heavy supervision in a busy lab

Responsabilidades

• Assist with receiving, identifying, accessing, processing and transporting specimens and related clerical tasks.
• Communicate test results to healthcare providers.
• Mentor in a specific area of expertise and maintain equipment and supplies.
• Perform duties per regulations and contribute to new procedures.
• Handle clerical tasks including phone calls, data entry and filing; manage charge entry and invoice reconciliation as applicable.
• Work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.

Summary

Performs technical and clerical functions in one or more sections of the laboratory.

Responsibilities

• Assists with receiving, identifying, accessing, processing and transporting specimens, plus additional responsibilities requiring critical thinking. Handles problems, including documentation and resolution.
• Communicates test results to appropriate healthcare providers.
• Acts as mentor in specific area of expertise. Maintains equipment and adequate stock of supplies. Maintains work area in a safe, aseptic and organized manner.
• Performs duties in accordance with regulations and procedures. Contributes to new procedures.
• Performs clerical duties including answering phones, data entry, and filing. Performs charge entry and/or invoice reconciliation as applicable.
• Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.

Requirements
