Job summary

Western International Gas & Cylinders, Inc. is seeking a Lab Manager to oversee the QA laboratory operations in Tennessee.

This role sets daily work schedules for lab associates, answers technical questions, ensures calibration and maintenance, and drives safety improvements. The successful candidate will lead gas analysis, document results, prepare Certificates of Conformance, test raw materials, and maintain analytical procedures and lab supplies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or 3 years analytical experience.
1–3 years laboratory experience; leadership experience preferred.
Ability to read and interpret work instructions and procedures.

Responsibilities

Determine daily tasks for Lab technicians.
Analyzes gases to test for impurities using gas chromatography and other process analyzers.
Completes statistical analysis of testing data.
Prepares Certificates of Conformance and Analysis according to procedures and specs.
Tests and certifies incoming raw materials for production.
Establishes and maintains analytical procedures and methods.
Performs routine maintenance and calibration on analytical equipment.
Maintains all quality control records and other required documentation per procedures.
