Job summary

The University of Chicago’s Groman Lab is seeking a process-driven Laboratory Manager to serve as the central operational hub for our research team. Investigating the neurobiological mechanisms of decision-making and addiction, our lab relies on seamless logistics and clear workflows.

The Lab Manager will oversee day-to-day operations, manage purchasing and compliance, coordinate onboarding, and support data collection and reporting in a fast-paced neuroscience environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field is required.
• 2–5 years of work experience in a related job discipline.
• Regulatory compliance and lab safety knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees day-to-day laboratory operations and workflows.
• Manages purchasing, inventory, vendor relations, and equipment.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and inspection readiness.
• Coordinates onboarding and safety training for staff.
• Supports data collection, literature reviews, and manuscript preparation.
