Job description

Lab Manager

Location: Arlington, VA

Must have Secret Security Clearance

Node is seeking a Lab Manager to support this critical customer mission.

Responsibilities:

  1. Applying advanced analytical skills and technical resources at the tactical levels and implementing infrastructure solutions supporting command decision-making and execution of mission requirements
  2. Support the implementation of new technologies and equipment in the lab environment
  3. Assesses network topology and device configurations identifying critical security concerns and providing security best practice recommendations
  4. Advises and provides insight into the development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies
  5. Provide support for Virtual Private Network (VPN) or Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (e.g., Citrix) to users
  6. Provide support for MacOS and iOS to users
  7. Provide troubleshooting and triaging assistance for basic to intermediate technical challenges and user issues
  8. Monitor and respond to users on IT helpdesk channels and phone lines
  9. Assist in the management of user accounts and resetting credentials
  10. Perform implementation of granular access control, and monitor systems for acceptable performance and user accessibility, establishing backups, and monitoring systems security
  11. Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage problems across the enterprise related to storage and replication strategies across local and wide area networks. Monitor channels for storage-related network and system issues and remediate them as they occur

Required Skills:

  1. U.S. Citizenship
  2. Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred
  3. Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability
  4. 2+ years of directly relevant experience in system administration
  5. Experience with multiple operating systems, including Linux/Unix & MacOS
  6. Experience and knowledge of networking and network administration
  7. Experience with Virtual Private Networks (VPN)
  8. Experience with virtual desktops (Citrix, VMWare)
  9. Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations

Desired Skills:

  1. Experience working with SIEMs to include ELK and Splunk
  2. Virtualization automation and optimization
  3. Experience working with Jamf Pro, DEP, and Enterprise Connect implementation
  4. Experience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures

Required Education:

BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree; or HS Diploma and 4+ years of lab management or systems administration experience.

  1. CEH
  2. Sec+
  3. Network+
  4. CCNA
