Mid Star Lab Inc in Tonganoxie, KS seeks a Lab Manager to lead orthotic manufacturing with hands-on leadership and a focus on precision craftsmanship and patient-centered care.

You will oversee daily operations, mentor staff, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance while coordinating with clinical teams to meet exact patient and client specifications.

Qualifications

• Experience in orthotic manufacturing or related lab environment.
• Supervisory or lab management experience preferred.
• Proficiency in fabrication techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Knowledge of quality control and regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily orthotic lab operations and ensure timely production.
• Mentor lab technicians and manufacturing staff to maintain quality.
• Supervise fabrication, modification, and finishing of devices.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and regulatory standards.
• Manage materials, supplies, and equipment inventory.
• Coordinate with clinical/admin teams to meet specs.
• Troubleshoot issues and drive process improvements.

Mid Star Lab Inc is looking for a skilled and motivated Lab Manager to lead our orthotic manufacturing operations in Tonganoxie, KS. Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily orthotic lab operations, ensuring efficient workflow and production timelines
• Manage and mentor lab technicians and manufacturing staff to maintain high-quality standards
• Supervise the fabrication, modification, and finishing of custom orthotic devices
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety protocols, and quality control standards
• Manage inventory of materials, supplies, and equipment used in orthotic manufacturing
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to meet patient and client specifications
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement process improvements to optimize lab performance

Requirements:

• Experience in orthotic manufacturing, prosthetics & orthotics (O&P), or a related lab environment
• Prior supervisory or lab management experience strongly preferred
• Proficiency in orthotic fabrication techniques, materials, and equipment
• Strong knowledge of quality control processes and regulatory compliance standards
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
• Effective communication and team leadership abilities
• ABC or BOC certification or relevant technical credentials a plus
