Job summary

Five Star Orthodontic Lab and supply is seeking a Full-Time Finishing Technician to complete acrylic appliances, both removable and fixed, and to improve anatomy and comfort. The role requires operating bench top lathe, grinder-polisher, and curing equipment, with quality control after each step.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or equivalent, strong communication, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.

Five Star Orthodontic Lab and supply has been servicing the Orthodontic community for over 30 years! Five Star uses an assembly line approach to appliance fabrication. Each tech is specialized in one or more departments and each appliance is QC'd after each step of the fabrication process. This provides for a much more consistent, quality appliance.

Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Finish rough poured acrylic appliances both removable and fixed. Make acrylic more anatomical and comfortable. Must be able to operate bench top lathe, hand piece grinder- polisher, pressure pot for curing. Acrylic repairs and color design use steamer to clean wax from appliances.

• Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal,state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
• Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
