Job summary

Southcoast Health seeks a Lab Finance-Reg Compl Manager to lead fiscal planning for SHG laboratories, prepare operating and capital budgets, and monitor profitability across outreach programs and lab operations. Duties include regulatory compliance oversight and CAP preparation.

The role requires MT(ASCP) or CLS(NCA) certification, a clinical/financial background, and leadership experience in a healthcare setting. Competitive pay, benefits, and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• A Baccalaureate degree in Medical Technology with MT(ASCP) or CLS(NCA) certification is required.
• A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration or related field is advantageous.
• Knowledge of personal computer systems, MIS, and related software is required.
• Knowledge of budgeting principles and ability to prepare/interpret financial reports and develop business plans for capital equipment is required.
• Experience in management of laboratory quality improvement programs is required.
• Minimum five years in a healthcare facility with at least three years in leadership is preferred.
• MT(ASCP) or CLS(NCA) certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal influenza and COVID-19 or approved exemption with signed statement.

Responsibilities

• Senior responsibility for planning and coordinating fiscal functions in SHG laboratories, including budgets for all Laboratory departments.
• Forecasts, audits, and monitors labor productivity and expenses.
• Analyze and track profitability of the system-wide outreach program and laboratory work queues.
• Regulatory Compliance activities for the laboratory including CAP prep and state/federal compliance.
• Assist with planning and overseeing laboratory projects.

Responsibilities

Position reports to the Director of Laboratory Operations or designee. Perform a wide variety of duties including system-wide responsibility for planning and coordinating fiscal functions in the SHG laboratories including planning, compiling, analyzing and recommending the operating and capital budgets related to all Laboratory departments. Duties extend to fiscal forecasts, audits, monitoring labor productivity and expenses, and analyzing and tracking the profitability of the system-wide outreach program as well as laboratory work queue management. The position is responsible for Regulatory Compliance activities of the laboratory including CAP preparation, State and Federal Regulatory Compliance and other areas as needed. Responsible for assisting with the planning and overseeing of laboratory projects.

• A Master’s degree in Business Administration, Health Services Administration or other related field is advantageous.
• Demonstrated knowledge of personal computer systems, management information systems, and related software is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of budgeting principles including ability to prepare and interpret financial reports and develop business plans for capital equipment is required.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in management of laboratory quality improvement programs is required.
• A minimum of five (5) years experience in a healthcare facility with at least three (3) years of leadership experience is preferred.
• MT(ASCP) or CLS (NCA) certification is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.

Pay Range

USD $90,916.80 - USD $131,185.60 /Yr.
