Job summary

Cohu, Inc. is seeking a Software Quality Assurance/Test Engineer to plan, design, and execute system-level testing for each release cycle. You will review requirements and designs, craft test plans, and drive defect resolution in collaboration with software engineers.

The role includes developing C#-based test scripts, running automated tests, and performing end-user focused testing in a lab environment. The ideal candidate has 0–2 years in software QA for Windows-based products, strong C#/C++,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in software, electrical, mechanical, computer, or related engineering discipline.
• 0–2 years of software quality assurance/testing in a Windows-based product environment.
• Experience with C#/C++, Visual Studio, Git, OO design, SQL/database concepts, and Windows communications (serial, TCP/IP).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and familiarity with Project and Visio.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, document, execute, and report system-level testing for each release cycle.
• Review requirements, designs, and test plans to identify defects and testability risks.
• Choose manual, automated, simulated, or equipment-based test approaches.
• Create and debug C#-based test scripts and run automated tests.
• Perform end-user functional, regression, and defect-fix testing in an engineering lab.
