Job summary

NatureWorks in Blair, NE is seeking a Laboratory Chemist to ensure products meet customer specifications and food-safety requirements by understanding instrumentation, calibration, maintenance, methods, and raw materials. You will help minimize cost and variation while ensuring customer satisfaction.

The role involves conducting controlled experiments, analyzing data, and documenting results. It requires a degree or equivalent, strong communication, and flexibility for non-standard hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Ability to contribute both as part of a team and individually.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Conduct simple experiments with minimal complexity.
• Generate and analyze data from well-established methodologies under standard conditions.
• Follow procedures to review and present results.
• Assure products meet specifications through in-process and final checks.
• Complete assigned tasks accurately and on time, including some instrument maintenance.
• Generate and interpret technical results and document information.
• Provide process improvement support, testing, training, and data analysis.
• Operate safely and participate in EH&S programs.
