Job summary

Eurofins Scientific is seeking a Laboratory Application Automation Engineer in Houston to design and develop software powering laboratory automation systems, cobots, and connected devices. You will build interfaces, device drivers, APIs, and integration services across LIMS and instrument data systems.

The ideal candidate combines software engineering with industrial automation experience, tackling complex integration challenges in laboratory environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering or computer science field.
• 3+ years of software development experience in automation, robotics, or laboratory systems.
• Experience building interfaces for equipment and industrial systems.
• Experience integrating software with robotic systems and PLCs.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software for laboratory automation systems.
• Build web and desktop interfaces for operators and staff.
• Develop workflows, instrument control, sample tracking, and process monitoring.
• Create dashboards, monitoring, alarms, and reporting tools.
