Job summary

RemoteLeads is seeking an early-career Laboratory Operations Associate to support procurement, inventory management, and ticketing for research teams. You will handle receiving, auditing, restocking, aliquoting, and waste management while collaborating with EHS and R&D to sustain GLP-compliant workflows.

The role emphasizes strong organization, communication, and teamwork in a dynamic, high-throughput environment. A bachelor’s in Life Sciences and 1 year of lab experience are preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of hands-on laboratory experience.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Experience with internal ticketing or inventory systems preferred.
  • Strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, initiative, and proactive planning skills.
  • Excellent organization, prioritization, multitasking, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, high-throughput environment.
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull, and move packages or equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement, receiving, auditing, restocking, preparation, and aliquoting of laboratory supplies and reagents.
  • Maintain inventory levels for consumables, high-value assets, and safety supplies.
  • Monitor and fulfill laboratory ticketing requests from research personnel.
  • Receive, sort, break down, and transport packages, pallets, and shipments across buildings.
  • Conduct laboratory safety walkthroughs and inspections for EHS and GLP compliance.
  • Set up, monitor, and manage biohazardous and hazardous chemical waste streams.
  • Collaborate with EHS, R&D, and cross-functional teams to maintain smooth workflows.
  • Organize and facilitate routine laboratory cleanup events.
  • Perform additional operational tasks and special projects as assigned.
