Eurofins USA Food Testing is seeking a lab support associate to help maintain cleanliness and supply levels in the laboratory. You will handle glassware, dispose of waste, and assist with sample preparation and registration in a safety-focused environment.

The role requires a HS diploma, strong communication skills, and the ability to learn new techniques while managing multiple tasks. Evening schedule may apply, with potential overtime.

Job Description

Position Summary

Responsible for helping maintain cleanliness and supply levels in lab.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Demonstrates and promotes the company vision
• Regular attendance and punctuality
• Clean, dry, and store glassware for laboratory use
• Dispose of waste solutions
• Retrieve washroom acids and solvents
• Clean and maintain glassware areas
• Learn simple laboratory operations such as media production
• Learn and use inventory and ordering system for lab supplies
• Assist with receiving and placing lab supplies in proper place
• Perform sample preparation
• Assist with sample registration as needed
• Conducts all activities in a safe and efficient manner
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Average temperature of work location: 22-25°C
• Potential for chemical exposure
• Will be exposed to aromas typical of a food microbiology laboratory

Additional Information

• $17.00 per hour

• Seasonal NOV-April, Depending on business needs

Schedule:

• Regular: Tuesday-Saturday, 2:00pm-10:30 pm
• Training: Monday-Friday 08:00am-04:30pm
