Summary : Provides phlebotomy expertise, decision making, and problem solving skills based on in-depth knowledge of phlebotomy procedures. Performs the collection, receipt in computer, processing, and delivery of patient specimens for tests performed by the laboratory.
Education / Experience :High school diploma or equivalent required. Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program or one year of proven experience in Hospital, Reference, or Physician Office Lab required.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements : Position requires frequent prolonged standing/walking.
Requires occasional lifting of supplies/equipment up to 25 lbs.

Inside protected from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes. Minimal noise levels.
