Job summary

PIH Health Whittier Hospital is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support specimen procurement, accessioning and processing under the supervision of a licensed CLS. The role includes performing testing as assigned and maintaining quality control in the clinical lab.

Phlebotomy (venipuncture and skin puncture) for inpatients and outpatients is also part of duties, contributing to accurate results and smooth patient flow within the regional lab network.

Responsibilities

• Procure specimens and prepare them for testing under supervision.
• Perform accessioning, processing and testing as assigned by a licensed CLS.
• Provide phlebotomy (venipuncture and skin puncture) to inpatients and outpatients.
