Job summary

Piedmont Cartersville is seeking a Phlebotomy Technician to perform sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and Piedmont standards. You will also perform venipunctures and prepare specimens, following Piedmont policies and procedures.

Education required is a high school diploma or GED. No experience is required; however, 1 year of phlebotomy experience, EKG experience, and healthcare or clinical laboratory setting experience are

Responsibilities:

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA and other applicable regulatory, established standards as may be applicable. Performs venipunctures at entities where applicable, and obtains/prepares blood specimens in accordance with Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists technical staff in non-clinical tasks.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist Preferred
• Experience in performing EKGs Preferred
