Job summary

NewYork-Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to support surgical pathology operations. You will accession specimens, process requisition forms, and prepare samples for testing in a busy clinical lab.

This full-time day shift (8:00am–4:00pm, Monday–Friday) requires a High School diploma and data entry accuracy; venipuncture and prior lab experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Experience processing specimens and data entry preferred.
• Venipuncture experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Accessioning specimens.
• Processing requisition forms.
• Separating samples into aliquots.
• Labeling specimens.
• Distributing specimens to appropriate laboratory sections for testing.
