Job summary

ChromoLogic LLC is seeking a Lab Assistant Intern in North Carolina to support routine lab operations, assist with sample prep and data collection, and help maintain an organized, safe work environment. This role offers hands-on experience in a dynamic research setting and opportunities to contribute to innovative projects under the guidance of experienced scientists.

The internship provides exposure to real-world scientific challenges, a flexible 30-hour/week schedule, and the chance to develop

Qualifications

• Current undergraduate or graduate student in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of laboratory safety practices and standard laboratory procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions and experimental protocols.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and time-management skills.
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively within a team environment.
• Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-paced research setting.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory tasks, following established protocols and safety guidelines.
• Assist with sample preparation, reagent formulation, and basic experimental setup.
• Collect, record, and organize experimental data with accuracy and attention to detail.
• Maintain laboratory cleanliness, including equipment care & inventory organization.
• Support ongoing research and development projects by completing assigned tasks.
• Assist in documenting procedures, observations, and test results to ensure accurate recordkeeping.
• Work collaboratively with team members to help achieve project goals and milestones.
