Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Lab Assistant I to ensure proper handling of specimens in clinical and anatomic pathology laboratories and to prepare these specimens for testing. You will perform data entry and accessioning, support specimen processing, and coordinate packaging and transport under supervision.

The role requires accuracy, strong communication, and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Handle all specimens received in the clinical and anatomic pathology laboratories.
• Prepare specimens for testing and perform data entry and accessioning of orders.
• Perform specimen processing tasks including centrifugation, aliquoting, slide preparation, packaging, and shipment to referral laboratories.
• Transport and deliver specimens to testing departments under supervision.
