Direct Jobs is seeking a Phlebotomist/Specimen Processor in Bloomington, Indiana. The role requires strong customer service skills and attention to detail while conducting specimen collection and managing clerical tasks as part of a dedicated laboratory team.
The successful candidate will need to graduate from high school or have a GED, possess good computer understanding, and ideally complete a phlebotomy training program. The position offers full-time hours with a day shift schedule.

SHIFT: Full Time- Days, weekend/holiday/on call rotation, M, W, Th, F 645-1715, Saturday rotation 645-1300

The laboratories of IU Health offer some of the most comprehensive laboratory services in Indiana! Open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, the laboratories perform more than 19 million tests a year. In addition to IU Health, laboratory testing services are provided to hospitals and physicians across the country.
The Phlebotomist/Specimen Processor provides general laboratory services including specimen collection using routine venipuncture, order entry, blood component preparation, specimen receipt, waived testing, pre-analytic processing of specimens as well as related clerical tasks such as entering orders into the system, confirming validity of each specimen, answering phone calls, and managing faxes. The incumbent may be responsible for patient and specimen registration and delivery of specimens. The ideal incumbent will possess strong customer service skills, focus on attention to detail, have strong organizational skills, have basic computer skills, and be highly compassionate.
