Job summary

U.S. Dermatology Partners seeks a detail-oriented laboratory assistant to support Mohs and pathology operations. The role performs Mohs numbering, tissue mapping, slide loading, and stain maintenance to ensure accurate specimen processing.

Responsibilities include labeling, chart prep, log keeping, and timely delivery of slides to pathologists, while upholding safety policies and high-quality customer service expectations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Mohs / Excision templates for pt. charts.
• Assign Mohs/DAF numbers for sites.
• Prepare patient maps for first stage tissue.
• Load slides on stainer and cover slips.
• Assist with stage slides during heavy workflow.
• Log stage/slide counts into Mohs log book.
• Maintain stain controls (H&E and blue) documentation.
• Maintain and file Mohs maps and slides.
• Accession specimens and deliver to pathologists.
• Adhere to safety policies and high-quality customer service.
