Job summary

College of American Pathologists (CAP) is seeking an Operations Specialist based in Northfield, IL. The role focuses on managing pre-inspection processes for LAP, FDT, BAP and RLAP, maintaining accreditation cycles, and delivering customer service to laboratories and inspectors.

Ideal candidates will have at least 2 years in a healthcare or business setting, strong organizational and communication skills, and familiarity with Scores, Oracle, and BPM systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years experience in a business or healthcare related business or customer service environment.
• College degree preferred but not required.
• Excellent organizational and decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Familiar with Microsoft Windows’ applications and Oracle.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, organize, and process requests for applications and the materials for all accreditation programs.
• Manage pre-inspection processes to meet needs of inspectors, commissioners, and participant laboratories.
• Maintain laboratory demographics, workflow data, and accreditation events in Scores and related systems.
• Provide ACD phone and chat assistance to program participants about accreditation cycles and application submission.
• Monitor BPM Work Queue and respond to inquiries about the accreditation cycle and procedures.
