Job summary

Darkbox Entertianment seeks a Los Angeles-based Line Producer/UPM for a SAG Low Budget feature. The ideal candidate has strong independent feature experience, can assess script scope, refine budgets and schedules, and advise on production logistics from prep through principal photography.

Casting and department head outreach are underway; principal photography targets November 2026. The role requires proven LA production experience and a track record of building reliable department-head teams

Qualifications

• Experience as Line Producer, UPM, or Production Manager on scripted independent features (not student/hobby projects).
• Strong Los Angeles production experience, including crewing up local productions and building department-head teams.
• Familiarity with SAG-AFTRA Low Budget productions and practical realities of independent feature production.
• Ability to evaluate script scope, create or refine budgets, build schedules, advise on crew size, and identify cost-saving strategies.
• Established network of Los Angeles crew and vendors with a track record of professional indie features.

Responsibilities

• Analyze script scope and help build or refine the budget and production schedule.
• Advise on production logistics, locations, prep timelines, and crewing strategy.
• Support the project during prep and principal photography and coordinate daily problem solving.
