Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Cath Lab seeks a travel Interventional Radiology Technologist for a 13-week assignment in La Jolla, CA. You will support physicians with minimally invasive procedures, operate fluoroscopy and other imaging modalities, and help prepare patients and equipment in a fast-paced interventional suite.

The role emphasizes patient care and safety, collaboration with radiology teams, and adherence to radiation and infection control standards in a facilities setting.

Qualifications

• One year’s recent experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist.
• Valid ARRT, RCIS or RCES certification per state regulations.
• Current BLS certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and position patients for interventional radiology procedures with safety in mind.
• Operate imaging equipment (fluoroscopy, CT, ultrasound) to guide procedures.
• Scrub in for sterile procedures, pass instruments, and maintain a sterile field.
• Monitor patient vitals and document procedural details.
• Administer contrast media and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Ensure radiation safety for patients, staff, and self.
• Maintain and troubleshoot imaging equipment and supplies.
• Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and team members to ensure seamless care.
• Follow infection control, safety, and regulatory protocols.
