Qualifications

• One year of experience in human services is preferred.
• MAP certification must be maintained; MAP certification must be obtained within 3 months of hire.
• 21+ with high school diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and daily use of a car (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Implement ISPs, behavior plans, and assessments aligned with individual goals.
• Lead and supervise Direct Support Professionals during shifts.
• Ensure ISP programs and behavior data sheets are documented.
• Ensure medications are delivered and documented.
• Oversee recreation and DROs/DRLs as directed.
• Foster community involvement, employment opportunities, and resident engagement.
• Coordinate with families, guardians, and external agencies for comprehensive care.
• Assist with resident accounts and house budgets under supervision.
• Attend annual and semi-annual reviews.
• Maintain safety checks and DDS compliance.
• Lead residents in meal planning, shopping, and daily living activities.
• Maintain documentation of residents' progress and staff daily reports.
• Oversee household maintenance and vehicle upkeep.

Sun 8a-11p, Mon 3p-11p, Tue 2p-10p, Weds 2p-11p

Full-Time:

40 Hours

Pay:

$19.00-20.50 per hour – Paid training provided by Venture!

Summary:

This full-time role in an adult residential setting involves supervising and supporting residents' daily activities while fostering their physical, emotional, social, and vocational development. The Residential Shift Supervisor is responsible for ensuring that residents are engaged in meaningful activities that promote greater independence, community integration, and personal growth. Compassion, teamwork, and leadership skills are essential. This position offers an opportunity for growth, leadership, and meaningful work in supporting individuals with disabilities in achieving greater independence and well-being. This position is compensated on an hourly basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Implement Individual Support Plans (ISPs), behavior plans, and assessments to align with individual needs and program goals.
• Create, lead and supervise Direct Support Professionals during shifts, ensuring consistent communication and adherence to daily scheduled plans.
• Ensure all ISP programs and behavior data sheets are documented
• Ensure medications are delivered and documented
• Ensure recreation and DRO’s/DRL’s are run as directed
• Ensure the cleaning schedule has been completed thoroughly by those assigned
• Foster community involvement, employment opportunities, and recreational activities that support resident engagement and personal development.
• Coordinate with families, guardians, and external agencies to ensure comprehensive care and support as directed by Residential House Manager.
• Assist with financial management, including resident accounts and house budgets, as directed by the Residential House Manager.
• Attend annual and semi-annual reviews as assigned by Residential House Manager.
• Ensure the program maintains the standard outlined in the Department of Developmental Services Mission Statement, the Survey and Certification Tool
• Perform safety checks, assist with fire drills, and ensure compliance with DDS regulations and safety standards.
• Oversee and support residents in meal preparation, shopping, and other daily living activities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and records related to residents' progress, health, and program involvement. Ensuring all staff complete daily reports and tasks as assigned
• Assist with household maintenance needs and vehicle upkeep to ensure a safe and functional living environment.
• Take a leadership role in planning individual leisure activities and ensuring residents have access to opportunities for recreation and personal development.
• Serve as the primary contact during shifts, communicating day-to-day updates to administrative personnel in the absence of the Residential House Manager.
• Maintain First Aid, CPR, MAP & Safety Care certifications.
• Maintain training specific to individual programmatic issues.
• Other duties as assigned

Physical and Scheduling Requirements:

• Ability to assist residents with personal care, including lifting and transferring individuals.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, overnight coverage, and occasional overtime as needed.
• Must be able to handle physically demanding situations, such as assisting in emergencies or behavioral crises.
