Job summary

SMS InfoComm Fort Worth is seeking a Server MB Repair Tech L3 to troubleshoot server motherboard issues at the component level, perform diagnostics, replace components, solder, and verify repairs before testing.

You will read schematics and use meters and oscilloscopes, follow repair instructions, maintain meticulous records, and meet KPI targets in a fast-paced warehouse environment. A high school diploma is preferred, with 12+ months of related experience encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent; college degree in related electronics preferred.
• 12+ months experience in computer repair or related field preferred.
• Excel knowledge to read instructions and track data.

Responsibilities

• Identify Server MB problems and narrow down issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair Server MBs; perform solder work as needed.
• Follow repair instructions and operational procedures; test repaired boards.
• Check for CID, flux residue, solder quality, and PID/polarity during repairs.
• Organize parts, tools, and keep KPI records; meet daily KPI targets.
