Job summary

Viskase Corp is seeking a Pipefitter-Welder-Fabricator to fabricate, install, disassemble, and inspect piping systems and perform welding repairs on plant components.

This role requires strong welding skills, blueprint reading, and experience with CPVC/FRP pipe assemblies. It is an on-site, hands-on position focused on maintaining safe, compliant plant operations.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED equivalent.
• 4 Years of Industrial Welding and Pipefitting Experience OR Completion of Apprenticeship Program Plus 2 Years of Industrial Welding and Pipefitting Experience OR Completion of Vocational School Industrial Maintenance/Welding Program Plus 2 Years of Industrial Welding and Pipefitting Experience.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains processes at an industrial level
• Performs work orders that comply with the maintenance schedule and addresses the plant needs
• Support internal projects
• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce quality materials output that meet product specifications and quality system requirement
• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows the Safety Cardinal Rules
• Performs any other assignments as directed

Job description

POSITION PURPOSE:

The Pipefitter-Welder-Fabricator is responsible for the fabrication, installation, disassembly, cleaning, and inspection of piping systems as well as any welding repairs or fabrication of plant mechanical components.

Will not supervise any employee normally

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES:

• Troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains processes at an industrial level


• Performs work orders that comply with the maintenance schedule and addresses the plant needs


• Support internal projects


• Follow established programs, policies and practices to produce quality materials output that meet product specifications and quality system requirement


• Performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures and follows the Safety Cardinal Rules


• Performs any other assignments as directed

COMPETENCIES:

• Highly proficient at welding carbon steel and stainless-steel pipe, welding other corrosion resistant alloys is a plus


• Highly proficient at threading pipe assemblies


• Ability to read blueprints and follow design dimensions


• Experience with CPVC Assembly, FRP Pipe Assembly, and Teflon Lined Pipe assembly

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
