TITLE: L.I.N.K. Program Aide (PART TIME)

WORK SCHEDULE: 10 months

SALARY CLASSIFICATION: Support Staff Salary Schedule - Group A

• $15.19

GENERAL STATEMENT OF RESPONSIBILITIES

To provide support to program supervisors and to enhance the daycare environment for students.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

INSTRUCTIONAL DUTIES

• Assists in preparation of instructional materials and physical environment;
• Assists in planning and preparation for group and individual activities;
• Assists substitutes to ensure continuity of learning processes;
• Assists with parent activities;
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

STUDENT INTERACTION

• Supervises students as assigned, during non-instructional activities;
• Provides individual and group support to reinforce skills;
• Provides enrichment and remedial assistance as required;
• Participates in activities that will develop positive interactions in the instructional process;
• Performs other related tasks as assigned.

OTHER

• Performs some assigned light cleaning, as necessary.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• A. EDUCATION, TRAINING & EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent, preferred;
  • No prior experience required;
  • Ability to communicate and work well with staff.
• B. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Ability to lift and carry a preschool aged child, if necessary, in case of illness, injury, fire drill, etc.
• C. COMMITMENT & DEPENDABILITY
  • Willingness to perform as an integral member of a successful team;
  • Dedication to providing the highest level of service;
  • Adherence to policies and procedures.
