Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health, Marble Falls, TX, is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Labor & Delivery unit on a PRN night schedule. You will deliver patient-centered care, develop and implement care plans, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to promote safe outcomes.

The role emphasizes clinical excellence, adherence to nursing standards, and ongoing patient and family education in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited course or have at least 2 years of experience surpassing the minimal qualification required.
• Field of Study: nursing.
• A minimum of 2 years in a relevant role is expected.
• Certification: Hold a BLS certificate now or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
• Registered Nurse License

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse on Unit is a key player in patient care management, following our nursing practice model. They work with other health care staff to deliver patient care effectively. Our Registered Nurses use the nursing process efficiently. They diagnose patient responses to health issues and create care plans accordingly. It includes evaluating healthcare needs and responses.

• Use problem-solving strategies and utilize available resources to support patients, family and staff as part of a systems thinking approach.

Key Success Factors

• Familiarity with nursing and patient care standards and procedures.
• Awareness of legal requirements and standards of certification and accreditation bodies, including the specifics of the hospital and respective department/unit.
• Good command of medical terminology, with a focus on healthcare promotion, risk reduction, and disease prevention.
• Effective communication skills, along with social aptitude for interacting with diverse stakeholders.
• Possessing critical thinking and problem-solving skills is crucial.
• Capability to identify and report changes in patient conditions, develop, and modify patient care plans as required.
• Basic computer skills necessary for day-to-day assignments.
